Fimmtudaginn 2. maí kl. 10-12 heldur Priscila Magaldi Netto kennari við Háksólann í Alberta í Kanada vinnustofu um jafningjamat í kennslu á vegum Kennslumiðstöðvar HÍ, Aragötu 9. Priscila hefur mikla reynslu af vinnu með háskólakennurum og kennsluþróun á háskólastigi bæði frá Kanada og Braselíu.

Á vinnustofunni leiðir Priscila kennara í gegnum ramma fyrir jafningjamat í kennslu sem reynst hefur vel til kennsluþróunar. Ramminn er byggður á rannsóknarverkefni sem enn er í vinnslu. Ramminn eflir kennara til ígrundunar um kennslu sína og hvetur þannig til kennsluþróunar þeirra í starfi. Þátttakendur fá tíma til að ígrunda hvernig þeir geta aðlagað rammann að sínum veruleika.

Peer Observation for Professional Development

Teacher: Priscila Magaldi Netto, teacher at the English Language School – University of Alberta

Based on an ongoing research project, a framework for peer classroom observation (teachers observing teachers) will be presented. This framework aims at enabling teachers to reflect on their own teaching and grow as a professional. There will also be time for participants to brainstorm how they could adapt this framework to their own reality.

Bio

Priscila Magaldi Netto holds an MA in Technology applied to TEFL from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK. Since 2011, she has been an instructor in the English for Academic Purposes Program at the English Language School – University of Alberta. Before teaching in Canada, Priscila was an English as a Foreign Language teacher, trainer and curriculum developer in Brazil for over 15 years.
