Föstudaginn 13. október 2017 verður Kennsluþróunarráðstefna Háskóla Íslands haldin. Ráðstefnan er haldin á vegum Kennslusviðs Háskóla Íslands og er ætlað að skapa vettvang þar sem þátttakendur deila reynslu, rannsóknum og kennsluþróunarverkefnum á sviði náms og kennslu á háskólastigi.

Aðalfyrirlesari ráðstefnunnar er Dr. Denise Chalmers, prófessor emeritus við háskólann í Vestur–Ástralíu. Denise Chalmers hefur verið áhrifamikil á sviði kennsluþróunar í háskólum og hlaut m.a. OLT National Senior Teaching Fellowship árið 2015 fyrir störf sín við gerð viðmiða um gæðakennslu, The Australian Teaching Criteria and Standards Framework, (http://uniteachingcriteria.edu.au/framework/about/). Í framhaldi af upphafserindum verða málstofur um háskólakennslu.

Ráðstefnan er öllum opin.

The Teaching Development Conference (Kennsluþróunarráðstefna) of the University of Iceland will be held on Friday, 13 October 2017, 9:30 am – 4:30 pm. The conference is held under the auspices of the Division of Academic Affairs of the University of Iceland and is intended as a forum for participants to exchange experiences, research and teaching development projects in the field of teaching and learning at the university level.

9:45-10:45           Why do we need criteria’s for quality teaching? Denise Chalmers professor at the Western Australia University

10:45-11:00         Coffee

11:00-11:30         Higher education development: On crossroads? Guðrún Geirsdóttir, associated professor at the School of Education and director of the Centre for Teaching and Learning UI

11:30-12:00         Student’s workload: Contribution and experience: Edda R. H. Waage, assistant professor at the School of Engineering and Natural sciences

12:00-13:00         Lunch

13:00-14:10         Parallel sessions I (A-207, A-220, A-229, Main Hall)

Dr. Denise Chalmers, Professor emeritus at the University of Western Australia, will hold the keynote lecture. Denise Chalmers has been influential in the field of teaching development at the university level. She received, amongst other awards, the OLT National Senior Teaching Fellowship (2015) for her work in developing the Australian Teaching Criteria and Standards Framework.
